এসিডিআই-ভোকা ও প্রাণিসম্পদের মধ্যে সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর

এসিডিআই/ভোকা এবং প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর, গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকার, এর মধ্যে একটি সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর হয়েছে। ইউএসএআইডি এর অর্থায়নে এবং এসিডিআই/ভোকা এর পরিচালনায় “বাংলাদেশ লাইভস্টক এন্ড নিউট্রিশন এক্টিভিটি” প্রকল্পটির বাস্তবায়নে এসিডিআই/ভোকা ও প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর এর দায়িত্ব ও ভূমিকা সুনির্দিষ্ট করা হয়েছে। এই বহুমাত্রিক সমঝোতা চুক্তিটি গবাদিপ্রাণির উৎপাদনশীলতা বৃদ্ধি, মাংস ও দুধজাত পণ্যের বাজারজাতকরণ, প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণ, সংরক্ষণ, পুষ্টিবিষয়ক আচরণগত পরিবর্তন, সহজশর্তের ঋণ সুবিধা, তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির অন্তর্ভুক্তি এবং গবাদিপ্রাণি খাতে মহিলা ও যুব খামারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্তি নিয়ে কাজ করবে। এসিডিআই/ভোকা ও প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে উন্নত প্রজাতির ঘাসের উৎপাদন ও বিতরণ, ভ্যাক্সিন সরবরাহ, জেন্ডার সংবেদনশীল গবাদিপ্রাণি বিষয়ক সেবা প্রদানের উন্নতি, এবং তৃণমূল পর্যায়ের গবাদিপ্রাণি খামারীদের প্রশিক্ষণ ও দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি এবং অন্যান্য ক্ষেত্রে কাজ করবে। প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর এর পক্ষ থেকে এই চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেছেন জনাব ডাঃ মনজুর মোহাম্মদ শাহজাদা, মহাপরিচালক, প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর; এবং এসিডিআই/ভোকা এর পক্ষে স্বাক্ষর করেছেন মোঃ নুরুল আমিন সিদ্দিকী, কান্ট্রি রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ, এসিডিআই/ভোকা ও প্রধান নির্বাহী, বাংলাদেশ লাইভস্টক এন্ড নিউট্রিশন এক্টিভিটি। – সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তি

Press Release : ACDI/VOCA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), Government of Bangladesh, on the collaboration regarding the implementation of the USAID funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Livestock and Nutrition Activity. The purpose of this MoU is to delineate the roles and responsibilities of ACDI/VOCA and DLS in the implementation of the Activity. This multi-focused collaboration will target livestock (productivity, marketability, processing, storage, and handling), nutrition, behavioral change, access to finance, ICT, gender, youth, and social inclusion. ACDI/VOCA will work in conjunction with and strengthen DLS’ capacity through targeted technical assistance, such as the production and distribution of high-quality fodder varieties, distribution of vaccines, strengthening gender-sensitive animal service delivery, and extending training related services to community animal husbandry workers, etc. The signatories of the MoU were Dr. Monjur Mohammad Shahjada, Director General, Department of Livestock Services, and Mr. Nurul Amin Siddiquee, Country Representative, ACDI/VOCA and Chief of Party, Bangladesh Livestock and Nutrition Activity.
